Acceptance...

How often do I look to my past for consolation ?
How often do I look back for my identity ?
These are the views of the natural mind.
Seeking where I have been for my purpose.
Looking in my past for my destiny.
But I think, I believe that is all I have,
I believe that is all I know...

I have to convince myself first
that there is a more excellent way.
I must believe first in those things
God has put in my path.
I must accept the Truth that is in Christ,
the Living Word of God,
the Son of the Living God...

I must ask the question,
Am I searching for acceptance
I can see in the tangible or
Do I desire the Reality
only God can provide ?

For His is eternal,
His is a path
man may wish to tamper with
but will not be changed.
To follow Christ alone
is to know the prophetic.
To walk in the Holy Spirit
is greater than the future.

In His Word, Jesus
I lay down my life
and my will,
Only to become the unique individual
The Father created me to be.
And my purpose, my belonging
unfolds before me...

... Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
  - Jesus

But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me.
Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy.
Though I fall
I will rise;
Though I dwell in darkness,
the LORD is a light for me.
I will bear the indignation of the LORD
Because I have sinned against Him,
Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me.
He will bring me out to the light,
I will see His righteousness.

- Micah 7

As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look. - 1 Peter
