Default -

Default -
We have 'default' settings on our computer,
we have a 'default' start page,
we even have 'default' back-ups...
We also so have 'default' settings in our being.
All to often we 'default' to our natural self
and our 'default' selfishness.
We also 'default' to things we learned either
passive or aggressive,
things we learned by repetition or shock.
Those things that we say or do,
then realize the behavior came from a place,
with which we would have consciously disagreed.
A 'default' action like constantly telling our children
to turn off the lights, if you're not in the room.
Simply a 'default' action because your mother told you the same.
Sometimes this 'default' behavior
is reverting back to past responses
because we have not 'updated' our response.
We have not 'updated' our 'subscription' to the Word of God
and renewed our 'licensing agreement' with Heaven and the Holy Spirit.

So, If you find yourself in a 'default' action,
to which you did not subscribe,
it may not be your fault,
But you may change the action
by asking for an update from God
in your spirit,
and follow up by reading up in the Owner's Manual
unto the renewing of the 'licensing agreement'
in your mind...

The Waterwheel ...

Out on the 105 there is a Waterwheel,
you may have driven past it this morning.
for years this Waterwheel sat broken and in disarray.
The wooden water trough which channeled water to the Waterwheel
was falling apart and leaking.
The spindle for the Waterwheel was split and did not turn.
At one time it was new and worked perfectly.
And when a Waterwheel is functioning, turning
it may supply energy, power for a purpose,
to grind corn to feed livestock,
or grind wheat into flour so that families may bake bread.
But the Waterwheel sat there broken
and in the winter would be frozen solid with ice,
like the Waterwheel itself did not care.
But someone made a decision to restore the Waterwheel.
Then they followed through with the effort to renew the Waterwheel
to it's purpose again.
They reestablished the flow of the water,
The source which turned the Waterwheel.
There are places in the 'Word of God' like this:
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said,
‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”
John 7:38

And I quote:Jesus answered and said to her,
“If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,
‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him,
and He would have given you living water.”
The woman said to Him,
“Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep.
Where then do You get that living water?
“Are You greater than our father Jacob,
who gave us the well, and drank from it himself,
as well as his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus answered and said to her,
“Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
“but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.
But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water
springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:10,11,12,13,14

Grapevine...

A Grapevine
Beaten down by a fallen Tree
Even crushed
Will still turn lifted leaves
Toward the Sun
The Vine will still bear fruit
Although the birds and animals
Eat and scatter the Grape
on the Ground
And lying in the Dirt
The Fruit may rot
The Roots of The Vine Grow toward Water
In the Earth
The Life Of The Vine
Continues
For that is why God Created
The Vine ...

    ~  :  ~

"I am the true vine,
and My Father is the vinedresser.
"Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit,
He takes away;
and every branch that bears fruit,
He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
"You are already clean because of the word
which I have spoken to you.
 "Abide in Me,
 and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself
unless it abides in the vine,
so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
"I am the vine, you are the branches;
he who abides in Me and I in him,
 he bears much fruit,
for apart from Me you can do nothing.
"If anyone does not abide in Me,
he is thrown away as a branch and dries up;
and they gather them,
and cast them into the fire
and they are burned.
"If you abide in Me,
and My words abide in you,
 ask whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you.
"My Father is glorified by this,
that you bear much fruit,
and so prove to be My disciples.
"Just as the Father has loved Me,
 I have also loved you;
abide in My love.

They Never Chose...

They were given a path
They never chose
The birth orphans face
No place of heritage or heredity

They never chose
To be set aside as a teenager
an unskilled athlete
no foreseeable leadership qualities

When others could go home
there was not one to approach
their eyes in desperation
listen to emptiness

the college kid
who for two weeks
thought to experience homelessness
will never know the brokenness

For it is the path
they never chose
the hungry child of darkened streets
the mother who's bruises weep

It is the path
They never chose
a concrete floor
or prison cell

It is the path
They never chose
Persecution in a foreign land
or this

It is a path
They never chose
for their heart
is not yours...

   ~  :  ~

His was a path
No one else could walk
His was the journey
of The Cross

His was to be broken
for the hearts of man
His Words were spoken
Healing by His wounded hand

His was a path
He never chose
But the will of His Father
Steps so close

Bruised and blood strewn
He opens the Way
For each failing heart
follow and pray

But this Crux of Life
Impossible to lose
It is the path
They never could choose

It is the path
to which few consent
He Loves them greatly
These who repent

River Crossing...

Everyone wants to be there
When 'Revolution' has begun

has no heart the metal
to cross the Rubicon...

All want to shout 'Victory'
and sing a 'Glory' song
But few are the Champions
as the battle rages on...

There's none who leave a war zone
without scar in mind and flesh
they say there are no heroes
Yet they rise and do not rest...

So stand aside 'ye saber-rattlers'
and you who speak in jest
this ain't a game of toys
God's armor on humble breast...

The standards have been unfurled
Stallions mounted high
The Lord of Host, His armies
Love that shall not die...

I want to marry June Cleaver

I want to marry June Cleaver
or a reasonable facsimile
pearls, white teeth and pearls
gleaming at daybreak
                     always dust free

I want to marry June Cleaver
or a reasonable facsimile
milk and cereal with no wrinkles please
and a lifetime warranty
                        that never needs sharpening

Oh, could I please marry June Cleaver
perfect toast and coffee not burnt
no clutter, beds always made
and the broken dish heals itself
                          in thirty minutes or less

( Disclaimer : Yes my wife knows about this, it was written for her on a day when she definitely wasn't June Cleaver )

Never to Return...

Breath of the Past
warms man's neck
grasp of a Dark Friend
points to distant shore's wreck

Eye's light soft dimming
this spectre's frame
his charges still clinging
mention your name

without turning give glare
hand, finger and bone
off worn shoulder
be not cast forlorn

Who is this messenger
in the night
a parchment remnant
of Holy Rite

Who is this entity
within my soul
who foresees destiny's
unseen scroll

But God Himself
my rigors abate
to set once more
a sinner's fate

for deep chasm
and void are placed
for what once was
is now erased

He has set mountain path
daylight clear
The Wise King's Realm
steps draw near

for from that past
distant shore to spurn
one must accept His Grace
Never to return...

Responce...

As you watch things of notoriety in life,
you may do one of two things,
amongst a myriad of options;
tear them down
or
ask ,
why is this relevant?
Ask ,why is this relevant.

Somehow this reminds me of the following:

There is one thing I regret from having been President
of the United States,
And I want you to hear me on this,
The one thing I regret is
Not starting Battles or Speaking out on Causes
That I Knew I could not Finish or Win...
Because I now know
That I would have started something,
It would have been the Right Thing To Do...
By the way, this was,

Disarray...

I saw in a scattered pile of fire wood,
when left alone, in disarray...

That just as decay/ death lends to disorder,
so does disorder lend to decay/ death...

But man can order and stack the wood,
the wood will stay dry and last longer.
The wood will burn more efficiently,
when used for a fire.
Man can not bring what once was a tree
back to life...

Yet man can order
and slow the decay,
but man can not give life.
Only God can give Life...

And that Life brings order...
All life lends to order,
even the tracks of a deer...

Acceptance...

How often do I look to my past for consolation ?
How often do I look back for my identity ?
These are the views of the natural mind.
Seeking where I have been for my purpose.
Looking in my past for my destiny.
But I think, I believe that is all I have,
I believe that is all I know...

I have to convince myself first
that there is a more excellent way.
I must believe first in those things
God has put in my path.
I must accept the Truth that is in Christ,
the Living Word of God,
the Son of the Living God...

I must ask the question,
Am I searching for acceptance
I can see in the tangible or
Do I desire the Reality
only God can provide ?

For His is eternal,
His is a path
man may wish to tamper with
but will not be changed.
To follow Christ alone
is to know the prophetic.
To walk in the Holy Spirit
is greater than the future.

In His Word, Jesus
I lay down my life
and my will,
Only to become the unique individual
The Father created me to be.
And my purpose, my belonging
unfolds before me...

... Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
  - Jesus

But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me.
Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy.
Though I fall
I will rise;
Though I dwell in darkness,
the LORD is a light for me.
I will bear the indignation of the LORD
Because I have sinned against Him,
Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me.
He will bring me out to the light,
I will see His righteousness.

- Micah 7

As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look. - 1 Peter

Wings...

When the world sees you struggle,
They either want to clip your wings
Or cut the cocoon too soon

The blind see damage
and equate that as hurt
having no vision of destiny

If you sense a frustration
Then there is probably a crisis on the horizon
And the heights of the impossible are yours...

The Cry, 'Home'...

All soldiers in the battlefield
have a Cry in their heart
Home
All prisoners in the prison
have a Cry in their heart
Home
All children in wayward place
have a Cry in their heart
Home
All children of God following Jesus
have a Cry in their heart
Home
And All children following Jesus
Cry out to the others
follow Jesus
Home

Streams...

Streams,
most people aren't concerned about where the water in a stream came from,
they are only concerned about where the waters flow will take them...

most people are even less concerned about the purity of the water,
they are not concerned about drawing from the springs that feed the stream,
nor are they concerned about finding the headwaters
or the streams origin...

And then there are the guides and the teachers,
they are not concerned as much as they could be,
about where the stream came from,
or what may have gotten into the water ...
They seem to be most concerned about how many people will
jump into the stream,
and consume the water...
and by no means should you ask the guide where he
got into the stream.
They may have never touched the water
or felt the flow of the stream at all...

The woman said to Him,
"Sir, give me this water,
so I will not be thirsty nor come all the way here to draw."
John - Chapter 4 : 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said,
'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"
But this He spoke of the Spirit,
whom those who believed in Him were to receive;
for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
John - Chapter 7 : 38, 39

Snow

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:
though your sins be as scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson,
they shall be as wool.

Though our sins be as scarlet,
( our blood and the blood we have shed
is on our own hands... )

they shall be as white as snow...
( snow not only reflects light,
but refracts light, absorbing the light,
causing us to optically see not only white
but also glistening clear and silver )

  ~  :  ~

" ... As Snow ...  "

As snow , we have not only had our sins washed away by the 'Blood of Christ',
we have taken on His likeness...

I beheld till the thrones were cast down,
And the Ancient of days did sit,
whose garment [was] white as snow,
and the hair of his head like the pure wool:
his throne [was like] the fiery flame,
[and] his wheels [as] burning fire.
Daniel 7 : 9

His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool,
as white as snow;
and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire;
Revelation 1 : 14

And after six days Jesus taketh [with him]
Peter, and James, and John, and
leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves:
and he was transfigured before them.
And his raiment became shining,
exceeding white as snow;
so as no fuller on earth can white them.
Mark 9 : 2, 3

FREEDOM

It truly is astounding the meaning that most people attribute to freedom.
The definition they give to the word, freedom.
That liberty is the "pursuit of happiness".
The dysfunction in life due to this misconception,
that one's appearance,
one's wealth or the lack thereof,
one's place in society or being elevated above one's peers
is a place of success or relevance.

This is not 'Freedom' ,
Nor is it 'Liberty' ,
It is a dependence upon and on these temporal situations.
It is bondage to the trappings of this present age,
this present world.

Seek rather therefore, First the 'Kingdom of God'.
For Christ stated, " My Kingdom is not of this world..."
Seek to, " Worship in Spirit and Truth,
In a Holy Place.
Seek to know the "Blood of Christ..."
Seek Him while He may be found.
For He is the rewarder of those who diligently
Seek him.
For only in His Holy Spirit will you find
Liberty...

Thirst

You may realize you are 'dependent' on God ,
But still move in your own strength...

You may realize you are 'desperate' for God ,
But only ask Him for help...

When you come to see you can do 'nothing' without God ,
Then He begins to move through you
and " All things are Possible ... "

Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water , that bringeth forth his fruit in his season ...

The Wolf and The Sheep

The Wolves are in the Wilderness
where there are no Sheep
The Sheep are in the stable
where there are no wolves

The sheep are fed in the stable
where there are no wolf
there is little food for the sheep
in the wilderness, where the wolves are

The wolf are not fed by the shepherd
the wolf seek to feed their self
and are not led by the shepherd
but roam where the wolf wills

But if the wolf comes close enough
if the wolf smells the sheep is vulnerable
or is injured
the wolf will engage the sheep

for the only way a sheep may go among the wolf
is with the shepherd close
for if the sheep walks alone
what will the outcome be...

An Endline Crazy Rag

                                          An Endline Crazy Rag -

I'm seein' way out
livin' on a fault line
standin' in a freak storm
wailin' in the End Time

Noah and the Tishbite
floodin' more than knee deep
lookin' at the landslide
could it be the Last Time

...

And the well-churched applaud 'a' speaker
not 'hearing' the prophetic utterance
they sit on their hands
and think to their self, "Where were you in the storm, Lord ?"
Not 'seeing' the many Faces of Christ in 'the least of these'...

In the Coming Year ...

One desire I seek to have
To follow the feet of this Risen Savior
Though I be weak by nature
A heart burns to touch the Hem of His Garment
                                             ( 1/2/2012 )

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap.
For he that sow to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sow to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
                                          ( 1/ 2/ 2013 )
